Abstract

The article considers structure formation as a non-stop irreversible process. The main features of structure formation are present, which allows separating the concept of "structure formation" from the concept of "structure". The structure reflects the instantaneous state of the object, which makes it possible to conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of the components. The lack of a history of the appearance of certain elements makes it impossible to predict further patterns of change over time. Structure formation proceeds from multi-center mechanisms on various structural heterogeneities. This leads to the spontaneous emergence of fundamentally different structural elements. These elements become dominant in further transformations of the structure, which violates the symmetry of evolutionary development. The spontaneous, continuous processes of structure formation themselves indicate that nothing happens in the system by itself. Thus, there is a kind of self-renewal of the system due to internal restructuring of the structural organization. Such processes violate causal changes and allow us to move on to the concept of development on the principle of "from what has been achieved." Structure formation requires not so much multidisciplinary methods of description as research of themselves. Comprehensive studies of the incessant processes of structure formation at different levels of heterogeneity will provide an opportunity to expand the horizons of knowledge about the mechanisms, phenomena and processes of self-development of the system as a whole. This will allow more direct determination of rational recipe and technological factors in the production of building materials, products and structures.
